L.A. City
Fire Chief William Bamattre greets the visitors and opens the
events at Station 88 for Fire Service Recognition Day 2004.
|

The SCMA Booth
featured various radio scanners, two-way radios and radio receivers,
a patch collection and handouts for visitors giving out Fire Department
frequencies and SCMA club information.
|

Khalil Ladjevardi
(SCMA-118) and Rick Di Fiore (SCMA-101) are shown at the SCMA
Booth. Also assisting were John Daniel (SCMA-203) and Rich Sauer
(SCMA-104). Thanks, guys, for a job well-done!
|

Gene Stubbe
(SCMA-137) stopped by to visit with Rick (SCMA-101) and Rich (SCMA-104).
|

LAFD Air Ops
did a couple of simulated hoist operations in Station 88's "backyard"
using helicopter Fire 4. The low-level maneuvering was quite a
show for the folks on the adjacent 405 Freeway and stopped the
action at the miniature golf course next door!
|

Nice hat,
Khalil!
|

The LA Fire
Museum brought out several vintage rigs including this ambulance.
|

We thank everyone
who came out and talked with us. We hope we were able to give
them some good information on the scanning hobby and introduce
them to the SCMA and its wonderful members. Let's do it again
next year!
