SCMA Member Dennis, KI6AIX, LA-140, put together a portable communications center in a little suitcase. It has both VHF and UHF transceivers and a scanner. It can be powered by an internal rechargeable battery, an internal power supply (if AC power is available) or by a cigarette lighter plug from a car. Check out the video and leave a comment.

Great Job! My compliments on having one of the very few boxes that consider battery power. Most Go-Boxe builders seem to assume that 115v will be readily available. Bill
Was wondering if thee was a way to catch catch via email with KI6AIX? I thinking about a portable that would either act independently or be used for cross band repeat. I would love do discuss specifics of design!
